FOOD TECHNOLOGIES

The main activity of the department is to creat of innovative technologies and foods trough the

developing the processes for energy-saving technologies, developing fresh, semi-finished and ready-

to eat foods and beverages aimed at various functional groups of the population.

The Department:

1) Carried out scientific and applied research in the field of fruit and vegetable preservation

technologies by sterilization, freezing, concentration, drying, lyophilization and bio-preservation;

2) Develops and implements new assortments of canned foods, functional and healthy foods for

children and adults, meat foods, foods with added biological value, dried and lyophilized fruits and

vegetables, fruit and vegetable juices, concentrates, foods from non-traditional raw materials - nuts,

cereals and others.

(3) Optimizes the formulas and designs of existing food products in changing their market potential.

4) Develops and implements new technologies and packaging for processing and storage of products

of plant and animal origin in accordance with the current requirements for food quality and safety;

5) Performs an analysis of energy efficiency in food production and develops energy-saving

technologies;

6) Develops systems for economical water consumption in the food industry;

7) Develops technological projects for the construction of new and reconstruction of existing

processing plants.

8) Develops technological documentation for food products;
